I hope that you have enjoyed the brisk and eerie Halloween weather this weekend! The moon looks SO cool! I will be handing out organic apples tonight instead of candy, and I cannot wait! Speaking of treats…our boxes will be filled with fruity sugars, creepy veggies, fun new pictures, new you tube videos, and freaky recipes that will make this week spooky special for you! We are SO excited to have been featured on WB Channel 39 news this week. Please check out our ROC’N inspirational news clip below! Mmmm sweetness!
This past week we celebrated our EAT IT RAW CHALLENGE on our ROC’N facebook page, and we want to send congrats Barbara Zuluanga who won the Grand Prize Vitamix Blender along with treats from Green Plate Kids, Body Define & Mind, Natural Care Cleaning Service, Ruggles Green, and More! A special thanks to Pat Greer, Retna Media, and Green Seed Vegan Food Truck for making special appearances! The other 3 ladies walked away with other amazing prizes and LOTS and LOTS of hugs! We are so proud of them, and we will be posting THEIR recipes along with our new you tube of the event this week!
We expect to have more watermelons this week and even our first crops of local greens! Fingers crossed! Squash is dwindling a bit, and we are preparing for cooler weather fruits and veggies! HORRAY! Dates are a specialty item, and you can find those at the table baby!
Order your shares, get a hug, and spread some love amongst family and friends…too much goodness in that box not to share!
As for me, I am speaking at Frostwood Elementary this morning, and I am preparing to begin my first series of EAT IT RAW Classes at City Center’s Sur la Table! Event details will be announced soon via email and on our ROC’N facebook page! I’m SO excited about this! Also, if you missed my interview on World Vegan Radio on 90.1 KPFT on October 20th, you can still listen to it here! Please remember to “like our facebook page” to keep up to dates with special items that may appear in your boxes and more!
One last thank you to my friend Karen Ranzi, author of “Creating Healthy Children” for coming to visit our co-op this week and spread some Rawfully Organic love!
I am SO excited to be able to share this amazing week with you all! Cooler weather brings about serious coolness!
Hugs!

Can you say “Heck YES!” for local watermelons?! This past week, everyone got a HUGE watermelon, and we are going to have more this week along with our other AMAZING goodies in the boxes! Speaking of goodies, I have just uploaded a

The purpose of the EAT IT RAW CHALLENGE is simply to connect our co-op (and everyone who loves to EAT IT RAW!) on our facebook page. We have over 4500 Rawfully Organic co-operators in the Houston area; yet, many are not involved in our community as they can be! For those who are not able to make it to co-op to volunteer and interact with others sharing recipes, ideas, and hugs, online interaction can be a super-fantastic way to easily share recipes, pictures of dishes, and ideas for items in our boxes! It is even an awesome way to meet others in the co-op who you may have not gotten the chance to know! We are all in this co-op because we appreciate organic, loving, and raw produce! Life may be crazy and busy for all of us, but what is life without sharing fun food ideas?!
Anyone can compete in the EAT IT RAW CHALLENGE…it’s TOO EASY! The competition spans over 4 weeks, and each week has a different theme. Week 3 challenges you to make creative soups and salads, and week 4 for calls for…yummy desserts! The only requirement: it MUST be RAW! Each week has a different winner (the same person cannot win twice), and those 4 winners compete on week 5 in our Final Eat It Raw IRON CHEF Challenge at the Houston Arboretum on October 25th for many grand prizes!
I am SO excited about everything that is happening at the co-op! We are all truly becoming a community, and I LOVE it! As I was telling my AMAZING volunteers this week, I am SO grateful to have each and every one of them there by my side helping to participate in the labor of love of spreading the message of raw, organic, and local. No matter what is going on in my day, I can show up to co-op and know that LIFE IS GOOD! We are ALL so blessed to have such an abundance at our bellies! Thank you ALL for sharing in this amazingness!
