The FullyRaw Burrito!

The FullyRaw Burrito!

Who wants a FullyRaw Burrito ya’ll?! Hope you’re hungry because this one is filling and satisfying to every tastebud on your palatte! It’s low fat so take a big bite!

All Ingredients:

  • Large Collards Leaves
  • 1-3 Colorful Bell Peppers
  • Half of One Zucchini
  • One Cucumber
  • 1-2 Shredded Carrots
  • Juice of 3 Lemons
  • Tomatoes (Beefsteal or Cherry)
  • Small Bunch of Cilantro
  • Green Onions
  • Few Leaves of Arugula
  • Alfalfa Sprouts
  • Tsp of Cumin
  • Less than a Quarter Cup of Sesame Seeds
  • Quarter of an Avocado
  • Optional: Red Onion, Spicy Peppers, and Celery Bits

For the Awesomesauce!

  • Half a Zuccini (more if desired)
  • Less than the quarter cup of Sesame Seeds
  • Juice of 3 Lemons
  • Few Sprigs of Green Onion
  • 1 Bell Pepper (preferably red)
  • Optional: Spicy Pepper

Directions:

  1. Take your collard leaf and destem the backend (not fully), but just enough to take away the very thick part of the stem as shown in the YouTube video above.
  2. Lay out your leaf.
  3. Blend the ingredients for the saucy spread! Spread on the AWESOMESAUCE with the ingredients listed above.
  4. Spread the Awesomesauce on the back of the leaf.
  5. Chop, slice, and dice all other ingredients and layer them on top of the sauce on the leaf.
  6. Top with a slice of avocado, sprouts, or more sauce!
  7. Fold in the sides and wrap around the ends.
  8. Flip over the burrito “baby” and cut it in half with a knife!
  9. Allow all the beautiful colors inside to be shown to you….
  10. Take a BIG BITE and savor!

3 Super-Easy Raw Food Snack Ideas!

So many think that eating FullyRaw is too hard or that it takes too much time. I’m here to tell you that it is as EASY as eating fruits and veggies! Sometimes, you don’t even need to prepare them! If you are trying to go raw or even just eat healthier, it’s a time-saver because you don’t even need to take the time to cook them. Many Raw Foods come in the form of finger foods, so they are easily transportable and not messy. This comes at a huge advantage to us when we may need to eat on the go or at work when we are dressed in nice clothing. Not to mention that raw foods are low in calorie but also high in water content, so you will feel full after you eat them! They are nutrient dense, which means that even if you eat just a snack, you will feel satisfied. Here are 3 SUPER-EASY Raw Food Snack Ideas!

1) Any finger food fruits like grapes, blueberries, cherry tomatoes, etc. are easy to carry in Tupperware containers or even merely in the plastic pint containers in which they come. Because they are finger foods, you will not need a knife to cut them. All you need to do is pop them in your mouth! No mess, no squirts, no juice…you’re in the safe zone! Grapes are higher in calorie, and you can even make an entire meal out of eating merely a bag of grapes. This practically fat free meal is about 450 calories, and it will help give you energy throughout the day. Also, each of these are naturally sweet, so you will not need any condiments to add to them. Too easy! :)

2) Okra is one of my FAVORITE raw food snacks…EVER! It’s crunchier than pop-corn and it lower in calorie than broccoli! This means that you can munch on it all day and never gain weight. If you are feeling the need to chew, grab okra! Many people are afraid of okra because they think it to be slimy. I am here to tell you that when it is eaten raw, it is crunchy and SWEET! Please give it a try! I cannot tell you how many people I have won over this week just with one bite. Okra is so easy to carry around. Merely pack it in a ziploc bag and carry it with you throughout the day! Too easy! :)

3) Kale Cherry Tomato Tacos are my signature snack! Many people have difficulty eating kale until I show them this super-easy snack recipe. Simply take a cherry tomato or grape tomato and wrap it in a leaf of kale (no stem). Stick it in your mouth and let the grape tomato flavor burst into your mouth with the juice of the green. It’s better than V8 juice and WAY more nutritious. Give it a try! It’s a mini salad on the go! Too easy! :)

Life awaits! Not only will we be celebrating berries, dates, and citrus this week with a gorgeous new recipe, but also we are going to break those bad eating habits that have kept you in a vicious cycle your entire life. That’s right, everyone has them! This past week, I have seen too many succumb to ill-health and even death. It’s time to step up to the “plate” and make good food choices because when we do, we will reap amazing benefits. Life is too short not to live to its fullest potential! Because I want for everyone to feel the joy of perfect health, I am utterly motivated to prevent unnecessary sickness and disease through FullyRaw. The better you eat, the better you feel! When you feel amazing physically, you also feel this way emotionally. Then, you wish to share your love with all who know you! Last week, I posted a video to help you Overcome Struggles Going Raw. This week, I made a video that helps you Break Bad Eating Habits in just 7 east steps! We cannot change our health without changing our eating habits. I hope that you are inspired by this video enough to send it to someone you know who may be struggling with food. Please open your hearts to hear and process these life-changing steps.

Give Life in a Box

ABC Channel 13 features Rawfully Organic!

Do you feel Christmas in the air?! It’s coming! This is my favorite time of the year because I get to GIVE BACK to those that I love the most…YOU! Double hugs for everyone! :)

The week before Christmas, we will have co-op up until that Thursday, then we will not have co-op the 24th, 27th, or 29th. Until then, the boxes will be like Christmas surprises, overflowing with Santa’s bounty! Find out what will be in this week’s box here, and order here! I’ve entitled this week’s email newsletter “Give Life Back in a Box” for the sole purpose that I believe our boxes distribute life. Three times a week, I get to see over 350 families pick up their boxes, overjoyed to get home and bless their bodies and families with colorful goodness. I’ve been so humbled this week to see SO many ask to buy shares for their friends for Christmas because I cannot think of a greater gift to give: LIFE.

Essentially, our boxes are filled with healthy goodness, but not just ANY healthy goodness…RAW goodness. Fruits and vegetables are the most vitamin and mineral jam-packed sources of foods on the planet; they are filled with vibrancy. They literally make us glow on a cellular level, and they make us feel amazing, light, and joyful when we eat them. Everyone knows that increasing one’s diet in fruits and vegetables makes you feel more alive…so why not eat them ALL the time and feel the blessing of life inside of you INFINITELY?! (This feeling is the reason that I have been 100% raw for 6 years!)

As the volunteers prep the boxes at co-op, I consider it to be a very peaceful and exciting time, because it is almost as if we are blessing the boxes to go out to everyone. We are filling them with the blessings of life, and these nutrients will fuel you to function at your highest physical, mental, and possibly spiritual performance. Unlike other foods, these foods “love you back,” essentially and metaphorically. They bring us better physical appeal, make us glow, and even bring us more self confidence. Eating colorful foods brings about a shift in confidence, mental clarity, and happiness. Yes, eating fruits and vegetables makes you feel happier! They are a gift, and the gift they reap is LIFE.

Love yourself this holiday season by giving your body the gift of life. Eat your box, eat your fruits and veggies, and eat them raw. When you love yourself, you love others and everyone around you. I truly do love you all from the fruitiness of my heart, and for this reason, I run this co-op as a labor of love. Thank you for making it the most loving, accepting, safe, and special place for so many. I cannot wait to share this holiday season with you! Besides the food, you all are my gifts! :)
