Carla Valencia de Martinez is the Editor-at-large at 002houston magazine. She started as a contributor with a little column called “Things I Love,” in 2002. “I’ll never forget my first assignment. It was an interview with Oscar de la Renta at an appearance he was making at Neiman Marcus. I planned my outfit and did my research and was SO nervous; my palms were sweating along with the rest of my body. But it was amazing! And I was hooked.” Fast forward to 2012 and she is married to Publisher Alejandro Martinez and have a 10-month-old.
