I'm looking for help with charlie horses in my lower legs/feet. They seem to happen when I eat bananas or am in Houston (I was away on a trip for nearly two weeks, and I came off LFRW because I could not stay warm up north - I didn't have a single cramp the entire time I was up there). I had someone this weekend mention that she has to watch her potassium, calcium, and iron levels and keep them from getting too high to prevent the cramps.
So which is it? Mineral levels too high, something in the air in Houston, not enough water from bananas, or I'm dying from something? I've noticed that charlie horses originally started when I went vegetarian, and I've had this for years. It would happen after I've had 7 or 8 hours of sleep and would be the kicker out of bed for the rest of the day, and it would just about kill me, causing me to scream at the top of my lungs.
