How does anyone stay warm while LFRV? One thing I have noticed while being LFRV is that my hands would get very dry, and my palm skin would literally start to peel in the joint crevices of my fingers and give me that uncomfortably dry "dusty" feeling, a time when I don't want to handle paper or cardboard and have to put on gloves. I cannot handle climbing chalk for this reason.

It is time to acknowledge these problems and figure out what's going on.

    Thanks,
    Stephanie

    Stephanie,

We can pull on fat to cushion and lubricate skin. Since the cause is external (weahter conditions) this would be the wrong approach.

Your sensitivity requires you to protect yourself from the elements during inhospitable times. Humidify your home in winter. Minimize exposure to wind and cold with gloves and keeping your hands in your pockets.

Try overnight soakings in Corn Husker's Lotion. There are gloves available that are designed for this purpose.

Can you give me an example of these gloves? I've never heard of this type before.

Also, the skin would go dry like I described in the middle of summer while being LFRV.

A search for "moisturizing gloves" turned up many hits.

Locally, I suggest a visit to Bath and Body Works for further direction.
